| Introduction | My name is Sam Marx. I'm a photographer from Austin, TX. Photography drives me. Making an image is a process that keeps me up at night. I have a thousand ideas floating around - in computers, notebooks, napkins, voice mails to myself. I’m constantly seeing the world from the eye of a viewfinder or ground glass. There is composition in everything. Light and color play the most in my head. I like to make the image come alive, and look as if it were intended to happen exactly that way. Nature does not require her own trailer. I’m in favor of directorial photography. I’m heavily influenced by movies, and I try to convey that drama in many of my images. I’m not the first photographer fueled by ADD, but I definitely try to use it to my advantage. |

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
The statue will be made of a bronze skeleton, with a clear plastic outside. It will be filled with different colors and flavors of Jello every three days. The statue is erected to celebrate my victory over the Huns.
