| Introduction | I joined VUB on August 2020 as a PostDoc Researcher on the MAXWind project. My goal within the project scope is providing a tool for the quantitative analysis of the combined effect of wind, waves and corrosion on the fatigue life of offshore wind turbines in the Belgian Northern Sea. Prior to VUB, I was a PhD fellow in Mech. Eng. at Politecnico di Bari and a fatigue & damage tolerance analyst at Leonardo Helicopters. During my tenure at Leonardo, I specialised in C++ programming, as well as VBA, Python, Javascript scripting. I am a graduate of Politecnico di Milano, where I majored in Aerospace Engineering with full marks. I currently live in Brussels with my girlfriend, a beautiful lawyer working at the European Commission. When i am not keeping busy with research stuff you can find me somewhere doing sports! |
