| Introduction | My classic film journey began in 1978, at the age of five, when I saw Frankenstein for the very first time. I was captivated, but it was the musical Top Hat that truly hooked me and transformed my appreciation for cinema. For over twenty years, I've been dedicated to sharing my love for classic films, starting back in the days of MySpace and continuing on Facebook since 2017. My passion eventually led me to found Classic Cinema Central, now known as Silver Screen Classics and Nostalgia, a community where I could connect with fellow enthusiasts. While in college, a critical thinking course on film sparked my interest in Westerns and war films. This exploration broadened my knowledge and taste, culminating in my thesis on Women in War Films. My academic pursuits only deepened my love for classic movies and cemented my desire to share my thoughts with a wider audience. That's why I started this blog. Here, I infuse classic films with fun through my road trips adventures , film reviews, memes, star quotes, celebrations of national days and more! |
