| Introduction | Talofa ma Afio Mai! This space of thoughts, emotions, questions, and daily preponderances was created by yours truly to document my life as a Survivor: a cancer survivor and a survivor of the challenges life has handed me. My name is Tauiilelagi Fernando, or simply Taui, and I've been diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML). My mom, best friend, and nurturer currently struggles with Lou Gehrig's Disease, or ALS. I am the eldest of four, and took on the role of Mom at the age of 18, when my mother succumbed to a wheelchair and is now confined to her bed. I've designated this blog as my "free space" to jot down whatever comes to mind and heart. Some of you who read this may find comfort or conflict with this site's contents, but to each his own!
