Introduction	Prior to his appointment in 1993, Dean Corey held numerous positions as an arts administrator, including President of the Rochester Philharmonic and Executive Director of the Jacksonville Symphony. Mr. Corey began his career as a horn player with the New York City Ballet Orchestra, Mostly Mozart Festival and in chamber music groups such as the New York Brass Quintet and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. He continued as a performer with the Fort Worth and Dallas Symphonies before becoming managing director of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Association. He has taught at the Choate School, the University of Texas at Arlington and UC Irvine. Mr. Corey currently serves on the Board of Directors of Arts Orange County. He received the 2008 Lifetime Leadership in the Arts award from the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts.
