| Introduction | Kaleo is the root Greek word in Ecclesia which is the term we translate as “church” and so the word that Christians across the world have called themselves for two thousand years. Kaleo means to call, invite, or bear the name of. Too often the church has been associated with a building, an event, or a program. But the church is none of these things; it is the gathering of the called. As we are the called, we are the church. We are the ones whom God has labeled as His portion, and He has given us the name of those who represent Him. In that we call others to come and be a part of His kingdom, to know the only true God in intimate relationship as their Creator and Savior. |
