| Introduction | Retired, husband of one, father of four, grandfather of two. I enjoy reading, writing, studying, traveling, exercising, hockey, home renos. Also, I am a Christian. In these retirement years I spend considerable time reflecting on the biblical concept of chosen-ness. Interestingly, although the Bible presents the people of Israel at the heart of the story (see Genesis 12), the message becomes international, especially into the New Testament via the life and teachings of Jesus. I am not a Zionist! Today's politicians, all governments and policy makers should read carefully not only legal manuals, but also the Bible, the Quran, geographic petroglyphs, as well as learn to meditate on the still small voice of God. God is larger than all of us, all of this. |
