| Introduction | Frank Taylor has been a falconer since 1969. He is a member of The British Falconers Club and The North American Falconers Association. He is also a Founding Member, past President and is currently an Honorary Member of the Minnesota Falconers Assoc. His interest in hawks goes back to a drawing he did of an eagle while in the 3rd grade. Trained as a graphic artist, he worked for 22 years supervising catalog production at Superior Products Bar & Restaurant Equip. Co. In 1992, he started Frank Taylor Graphics. In 1993, he became the first Curator of Education Birds for The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota, traveling to almost every state the U. S. doing education programs for schools and nature centers. Frank’s falconry passion has taken him all over the world, including trips to Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Frank has been catching raptors for research in the same hay field on the north shore of Lake Superior since 1970. To date, he has banded over five thousand birds of prey. His banding activities have been featured on several local and national television programs. His artwork and raptor photos have been published in several books. |
