| Introduction | Welcome to The Central Americanist! I am excited about the possibilities of connecting with Central Americans and others who have an interest in having creative discussions about the Diasporas in the US. While I am Salvadoran, I am also interested in stimulating discussions and sharing of knowledge about the other Central American countries. Over the past few years, I have been studying issues of interest to our communities in the US- immigration, access to education, the environment, housing, income etc. and have recently begun to map the Diasporas using GIS technology.
