Introduction	I'm a fourth year dental student. This blog recounts the summer after my first year, traveling to South Africa and Malawi to provide dental care, teach oral hygiene, and see the country.
Favorite movies	For the trip, I've packed some old Wes Anderson flicks, Aliens, Big Lebowski, and a few others.
Favorite music	The new Bowerbirds album "Upper Air" will definitely be my Malawi soundtrack.
Favorite books	For the flight, I'm bringing an Ishiguro novel, A Clockwork Orange, The Great Gatsby, and the Letters of JRR Tolkien.
