| Introduction | I grew up all around the United States, while my father was career officer, a Naval Aviator. I moved to Hawaii about the same time as Statehood was ratified, when my father retired from the USN. Here I graduated from Damien Memorial High School 1967, and the University of Hawaii 1974. I have worked at construction, photography, writing, and at the game of chess in central London 1993 as Data Base Manager for the Times World Chess Championship.
