| Introduction | In memory of my buddy and mentor, Joe Toscano, Captain, Southwest Airlines: Joining REACH THE SUMMIT to combine my love of mountains with the American Lung Association’s worthy causes is my way of giving back to the community - I cannot help but personally relate to the American Lung Association’s causes and appreciate the value of health as I myself have endured life threatening medical issues in my past. It would not have been possible for me to enjoy many of the simplest but important pleasures in life such as relaxing outdoors, eating good food, or even waking up feeling great after a good night sleep. Let alone achieving my lifelong dream of becoming a pilot for a major airline or mountaineering!! Pilot since '90 and Gold Seal Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII/MEI) since '94, with almost 11, 000 hours. An airline pilot and former FlightSafety instructor. |
