| Introduction | This is the beginning of my eighth year of teaching. Does time ever fly! I was a journalist before I became a teacher. People often ask me if I miss journalism. No, I don't. In my spare time, I like to run (not in the winter though...too slippery). Cooking is another one of my hobbies. I plan to take a cooking course in the winter. Something that doesn't involve a lot of chopping or the making of dough. Dough is very tempermental. I've made one pie crust in my life and it was not an experience I cherish. I belong to a wine tasting group too. It is a delightful hobby. My favourite pastime though is going to the movies. I really adore movies. Fortunately, I share my life with someone who loves the movies as much as I do. He and I go to the movies at least once a week. I even took a film course once just out of interest. I like reading about films and discussing them. Imagine my joy when I discovered that one of the previous teacher-librarians at my school bought a lot of books about movies. |
