| Interests | Welcome to Documentary Starts Here! I teach at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies and serve on the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival's Selection Committee. I've been documenting folklife - traditional music - material culture - and a variety of communities since 1986 when I began graduate school in Folklore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
