| Introduction | My name is Neotoma nicolusa, derived from the genus for wood rats and my previous name. The wood rat (Neotoma sp.), also known as the pack rat, has been observed stocking its den with the necessities of food and nesting materials, as well as seemingly useless items. I, aptly named, have a similar habit of collecting seemingly useless items and depositing them in my den. |
