Introduction I'm a baby boomer trying to follow my passion and still keep the wolf from the door. Unemployed and faced with a poor economy I have decided to quit trying to make a living and start living. My dreams are taking first place. Writing, gardening and crafts will become my "job". I have tried many professions; teacher, newspaper owner and caterer. Some met with with great success some just ok. Each time I knew when it was right to move on. My heart tells me it is time to pursue my dreams. I learned at an early age to cook. Betty, Amy and Julia became my favorite authors. I put my family through some unusual culinary experiences. Little toast with a pickle sliced like a flower and a dollop of pink sour cream was an appetizer I though approiate for my siblings all under ten. I fell in love with gardening when my tomato plant in the middle of a hot dry desert produced two small fruits. in college I crafted beaded jewelry and then moved onto herbal wreaths, soap making, paper crafts, bath salts and potpourri. So I am planting a big garden, working on writing and making bath salts. Every self help book says follow your passion and you will be sucessful. Wish me well on my journey.
