| Introduction | I am a multi-tasking professional who has a passion in technical writing. To me, technical writing is like putting puzzle pieces together. It’s fun and fascinating to me that I held one job for 16 years! It doesn’t bore me at all because each project (small or big) is unique and I can learn new things. First, I review engineering specifications and learn about a new product, and then I figure out who the audiences are and what type of documents is required. Then, I interview subject matter exports and figure out how the product works. I’m a hands-on person who loves to play with a product and figure out how it works. When it’s time for me to write about the product, I move each chunk of information around and place them in the appropriate locations in a document. Adding graphics is an important step to make the complex contents easy to understand for the readers. Receiving feedback is very crucial to me as it is the only way to produce an accurate and high-quality document. I like working on multiple projects simultaneously as it helps me to refresh my mind from one project to another. This sometimes |
