| Introduction | I was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on December 28, 1954. I grew up in Berkeley, California, where I now live with my husband and children. I studied painting at U.C. Berkeley with Anthony Dubovsky and Christopher Brown, graduating with a M.A. in Visual Studies from the College of Environmental Design in 1989. My work grows out of the many years I lived and worked in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.
