| Introduction | Originally devoted to oils, I now work with acrylic as well as other fluid mediums and expressive drawing materials that include charcoal, graphite, water color paints, conte and indian ink. In the last few years I began creating mixed media works and moving towards more texturalized paintings. In 2012, I completed an expressive collection, entitled "Utopian Landscapes", an acrylic painting series based on surreal dreams of Chile. This experimental series of paintings intuitively explores gestural painting techniques, loose expressionism as well as mark making. In 2017, Ive been focused on gestural abstracts as well as expressive landscapes and animals in nature, inspired by where I now make art in the village of Saint Bonaventure, Quebec. I produce pop up art shows all around Quebec and am currently doing workshops at my studio. I also co-founded Yin-Yang with my partner November in 2017 in order to launch a collaborative art company that focuses on public works involving art making as a tool for connection and wall art on facades for corporations and residential properties. |
