| Introduction | After graduation right into the Air Force. The "shyest" kid in school is now a classroom instructor in airborne electronics. Discharged in Jan '63, worked at PMD Plant 9 for a short time, then to IBM Detroit. First of many computer schools in '66 --- Yep!! IBM is now manufacturing computers using transistors instead of vacuum tubes. Married in '67 to Barbara from Tawas City, 3 boys, Jim 1969, Scott 1971, Brian 1972. "If you can't give me a girl you're getting you’re n*&# cut". Vasectomy in 1973. 1976 was a big year; divorced, bought a new 4wd truck, quit IBM and went to work for a startup company in Silicon Valley. Retired in '95 after many happy years as an instructor and headquarters support specialist on several large mainfame computers. Drove an 18 wheeler for 3 years "just for the fun of it." Visited 46 of the 48 states. What a beautiful country we live in, especially when you can see it on someone else's fuel. Moved to Florida in '98 as both my and my wife's family were there. Marjorie & I will celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2009. Bought 5 acres near West Branch and plan on moving back to Michigan circa 2010-11 when she retires. Will see you all at the 50th reunion!! |
