Introduction	I'm a father of two, my son has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS, which is a form of Autism. Seeing much of myself in him (and having suspected that this was what was going on for months before) I went and got diagnosed myself (at 34 years old.) There are groups out there that will tell you that I suffer everytime I breathe just because I'm autistic. This is not true. They would also try to tell you that I'm not able to work or be productive, that is also not true. They wish that autistics like me did not exist. I'm happy, healthy and married to a woman that I love very deeply (those same groups would try to convince you that we can't love either.) I also stim, perseverate and sometimes have troubles socializing in a way considered normal by those who are non-autistic. In no way does any of this make me less human, or less valuable to society.
