Introduction | I'm almost 30 and an at home mom for My Wonderful Mister, our 3 not-so-littles, and a variety of pets. I have a (very) small business and am overhauling my housekeeping skills. I love to make things and I love to collect things, and I REALLY love tutorials. They are my friends. And now all my friends can be your friends, too! See http://tutorialhoard.blogspot.com/ for tutorial reviews, projects & techniques, and http://1000trains.blogspot.com/ for my projects, family, the shop & all my other pursuits. |
Interests | I love (in no particular order, nor is this list complete...) children, animals, antiques, owls, marbles, cloth diapers, green eyeliner, books and interesting bits of trivia. I love collections of interesting things. And I love making things... Sewing, quilting, jewelry- I do some backyard blacksmithing & amateur lapidary... All are things I want to do when I grow up. |
Favorite Movies | Anything Eddie Izzard! Mary Poppins, The Princess Bride, The African Queen, Bogey in general, The Marx Brothers... |
Favorite Music | AC/DC, Ani DiFranco, The Felice Brothers, Adele, The Clash, Janis Joplin, Smokey Robinson, James Taylor, The Righteous Brothers, Blondie, Nicki Minaj, Motown, soul, rock, electronica, dancehall reggae... |
Favorite Books | Jane Austen (LOVE Pamela Aiden's take on Mr. Darcy!), Elizabeth Peters, Anne McCaffrey's Pern, Louis L'Amour, John D. MacDonald, Dave Sedaris, Chuck Pahlaniuk, L.E. Modesit, lots of sci-fi/fantasy. |
Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?
Yes. With the exception of grapefruit spoons, shrimp forks and those sharp fondue-stick things. They are an entirely other genus.
