Even as a little kid when I watched that movie over and over again I never understand why she would leave. As bad as his outfit and hair may have been it's fucking David Bowie and he's offering to be your slave. There's no way I'd go back to my shitty teenage life with a cranky baby brother and annoying parents. Plus, you'd still have the brother and the dog to hang out with. Watching it now, he was promising her sex, right? Is my mind just in the gutter? Either way, if Bowie told me he'd be my slave, I'd fear him, love and do what he says. No question. |
