| Introduction | I like films and I have grown up watching Hollywood and Hindi Cinema. The idea of this blog came after watching some of the works of Andrei Tarkovsky, Sergei Eisenstein, Zoltan Fabri, Akira Kurosawa, Abbas Kiarostami, Asghar Farhadi, Majid Majidi and Ingmar Bergman- to name a few among the long list of masters of filmmaking. Incidentally I had watched some of their films in college and had completely misunderstood them. A revisit also helped in better understanding of the films by Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, David Lynch and so on. This blog is part review and part attempt to understand and better interpret the films that I have watched. |
