| Introduction | Raised in Wimborne for all of his life and elected to the Wimborne Minster Town Council in May 2007, Richard runs a film production company, Final Cut Films, which supports the local arts and films exclusively down in Dorset. A passionate traveller, linguist and Arabist, Richard enjoys meeting new people and exploring different cultures. Since 2005 he has actively canvassed local residents, gaining support for a range of issues including his crackdown on antisocial behaviour, the promotion of environmental welfare and residents' awareness of town planning developments. To him local politics shouldn't be about unnecessary partisan differences or superficiality, instead it should be about making sure every voice can be heard and that efficiency is maximised. He wants to create real results to the real issues which affect our daily lives. |
