Introduction	I grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University studying Environmental Engineering until summer 2009 when I moved to Austin, Texas. Politically, I lean more democratic, fitting into the "Liberal" typology. My family is largely Democrats, most being political activists, so I was brought up with this viewpoint. Personally, I haven't taken much role in politics, except for a general interest. I have voted in every election since turning 18, voting for President Obama in my first presidential election. I'm taking Government 2306 mainly because of course requirements, but what I hope to get out of the class is a better understanding of the way politics work which would benefit me for the rest of my life.
