Introduction	Jersey City Families for Better Schools (JCFBS) has been founded by community parents who care deeply about the schools in Jersey City. JCFBS is an organization representing a diverse group of parents, individuals, administrators, and educators in Jersey City. We have come together with a love for our community and desire to raise our children with the highest quality of education possible. Our agenda is bold as we work actively with local school administrators, the New Jersey Department of Education, the political leadership of Jersey City, teachers, parents, and community organization. Together we can initiate meaningful reform in a struggling school district that is currently transitioning from state control back to local control after nearly 20 years. The Jersey City District is, despite many of its challenges, filled with many talented and devoted teachers and administrators. We appreciate and applaud the hard work and devotion they show the children of Jersey City everyday. It is the great desire of this group to see these educators receive as much support, quality management, and resources as possible.
