Introduction	There's no denying that 50 is middle aged, but can I really have reached this point, when I still feel more like 23? I am an independent writer and editor, and the mother of Tyler (21) and Clara (18), dog Nala and cat Milky. I get to write stories for a living, selling to newspapers and magazines; you'll see my work most frequently in Bethesda Magazine and the Takoma Park Newsletter, which I edit. I dance, do yoga, bike through Sligo Creek Park, and tend a (currently unkempt) vegetable garden for the miracle of growing things I can eat. I live in Takoma Park, Maryland.
