| Introduction | After teaching for 23 years in the classroom, mostly 5th grade, all in the same school district in Dublin, OH, I made a career change, taking on the role of librarian for my school. It has re-started my career! Who knew just 5 years ago when I challenged myself to read all of the Newbery winners for the year, which then led to reading the winner before it was announced, which led to trying to pick the winner, that I would be spending my days in a room full of books, helping kids learn to love them as much as I do! With 12 years left in my teaching career, I can't wait to get to school, sit in the story pit with a class of kids, and talk about books. |
