| Introduction | Betty Slade, the Artist: forty-five years in the art arena as a wholesale and retail gallery owner, publisher of prints. Her Southwest prints have been seen on the Princess Cruise Line. She published over 50 images of notecards. She works in oils, watercolors, acrylic and mixed medias. Her subjects are flowers, landscapes, still life, and Southwest images. She painted the front and back covers of Spirit of the Red Candle: Journal of Mary Magdalene and The Author’s Journal: An author’s look at Spirit of the Red Candle. Plus, all of the character images in Spirit of the Red Candle. | Interests | I cannot study the Bible enough. The more I study, the clearer it becomes why I’m a Christian, and why I love the Lord. I treasure the Bible study classes that I teach. Al and I use our get-away-time camping. Watching football games with my grandsons, and playing Scrabble with my daughter Angel, is energizing and fun. I enjoy movies of romance, challenges, and victory. |
