| Introduction | I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend all the time. I am also many other things most of the time. I am a registered yoga teacher and practice yoga when I can. At the and time I am also politically vocal because one should live according to one's passion and conviction. Professionally, I am an instructor at the local community college, which keeps me involved in things academic and challenged in intellectual pursuits. | Favorite books | Blood Done Sign My Name by Tim Tyson is a must if you live in the South; Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer if you ever pondered the role of religion in society. Right now I am enjoying the books selected for the Progressive Book Club, especially No Is Not Enough by Naomi Klein I have not read too many fiction books lately as I find that too many of them have forced happy endings. Any suggestions? |
