| Introduction | From the moment my nausea was recognized for what it was, a miracle of life, everyone told me the same thing. “You’ll be such a natural mum!” I believed it too, for I had been surrounded by babies all my life, had babysat with enthusiasm, had always yearned for my own children, and had a psychology degree to boot. With deflating expectations and baby blues I realized that the only thing that was to come naturally to me in parenting, was a natural immeasurable love for my children. Nothing else came naturally. With hindsight, I have since realized that my parenting has in fact come naturally… naturally I learned it all on-the-job with great seasons of bewilderment, same as every other parent. I have one saving grace, and that is that in my lack of wisdom I have relied heavily on the Wisdom from the true Parent, the only one who can really love me and my children unconditionally and in our very best interests. Agape Love. For what it’s worth I share with you the wisdom loaned to me in moments of desperation.. |
