Introduction	I'm the mom to a wonderful little boy who was born via c-section in August 2009. After his birth, I was left questioning why I ended up in the OR and if it was truly necessary. This led to my journey towards pursuing an empowered birth for our second child who was born April 3, 2012. After crossing state lines in to an even less supportive VBAC region, my husband and I made the decision to travel back to our home state for the birth. I hope women come across my story and learn that they have very important rights as a birthing mother and their voice needs to be heard.
