| Introduction | I teach art to elementary and middle school students. In 2013, I transitioned from a teacher directed art program to a TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) program. TAB is a nationally recognized choice based art education model. This has been the very best move for my students. In a nutshell, I teach a new art concept or technique every class session, students then try the technique I taught, finish a work of art in progress, or start something new. The students are innovative and creative, plus their artwork is authentic! |
