| Introduction | We are Christian physicians, trained in family medicine (Jenny) and Pediatrics (Jared) and set to serve in Malawi, Africa at a rural clinic near Msundwe, 30 minutes west of the capital city (Lilongwe). We work with Child Legacy International, a Christian non-profit organization in Africa focused on honoring and loving God, cultivating integrity and stewardship through sustainable program development: clean water/well repair programs, healthcare, education and vocational training, renewable energy. We will be doctors in the McGuire Wellness Center (clinic) under the guidance of two African Christian providers who also live onsite with each of their families. Our goal is to spread the love of Jesus Christ by taking care of the “whole person” just as Christ did; empower our community to improve health standards and build relationships with our patients to improve the physical & spiritual health. We will be in Malawi for at least 2 years, but if it’s in God’s plan then we plan to be there much longer. We want to set down roots, grow a family, become apart of a local church and connect with other Malawi based missionaries. |
