| Introduction | I grew up in Iowa, moved to the Netherlands, moved back to Iowa, the Netherlands again, and then back to Iowa. I went to a small Christian college in Indiana which wasn't too far from family relatives. |
| Interests | When I am not working on my graduate studies, I teach aerobics and fitness at a nearby gym, work in my garden (just starting out), read, and my new project for this summer: scrapbooking the first two years of my marriage. |

| Favorite music | I like whatever is on the radio, country, rock, Christian, hip hop. I went to my first Metallica concert last year, pretty good! |
| Favorite books | I'll just list some that I've read recently instead: Life on the Color Line, Glass Castle, The Legend of Edgar Sawtelle, The Broken Teaglass, Go Big or Go Home (former as a book choice for my students). There is some language in some of these books, but very insightful. |

Ooh, yummy! Nice and slow to get the inside warm and gooey, then burn the outer layer. When I peel the delicacy off the stick, I like the crunch and gooeyness to work together in deliciousness.
