Introduction	Gregoris is a political sociologist and a labour market expert, employed by the University of Sheffield Management School. He has in the past worked for the University of Glasgow and prior to that for the University of Cyprus and Frederick University. He holds degrees (BSc and MSc) from LSE and Warwick (PhD). He has conducted research funded the European Commission, the Leverhulme Foundation, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, European Trade Union Institute and Peace Research Institute Oslo. He is also an external Expert for Eurofound and the European Commission. Ioannou’s research is multi-thematic and inter-disciplinary and has been published widely in the form of books, journal articles, book chapters, reports as well as op-eds. In 2020 Gregoris Ioannou won a prestigious Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship with the University of Glasgow, which he declined however taking up employment at the University of Sheffield instead.
