| Introduction | My father taught me the rules of chess when I was 8 years old. I immediately took to the game. My first chess tournament was in the Spring of 1996, I lost all three games and desperately wanted to improve. As of 2020 I have now been to nearly 50 US Chess Federation chess tournaments. I am still working on getting the "Expert" title (2000 USCF).
