| Introduction | I am a mother of two wonderful little girls and a wife to a really good man who loves us all. I earned my B.S. in Forensic Chemistry from the University of Mississippi nearly a decade ago and I am a former forensic scientist for the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory. I recently earned my M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. I am currently pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree from Florida State University as I update my transcript for the purpose of applying to medical school. I try to keep a simple approach to parenting that emphasizes building a secure attachment, despite working outside of the home. As often as possible, I try to see the world from my daughters' perspective -you'd be surprised the things a person can learn from that viewpoint! I strongly believe in mother's intuition and I trust that I know what is best for my family. I am very opinionated, but I do respect the opinions of others. My goals are to raise health-conscious and self-confident young people and to leave this planet a little better than I found it. I enjoy a balanced lifestyle with science and nature. |
