| Introduction | I grew up in rural Tennessee, and spending time on my grandfather's farm are some of my fondest memories. My experiences growing up in the "country" have defined a lot of who I am. I'm a stay-at-home mom, although I do some design work on the side. Thrifty by necessity and by nature I believe I can figure out how to make almost anything and re-purpose anything else. I believe in natural living and staying close to the earth for my family's well being. I've made my way though the world trying to figure out where I belong. I have had many jobs: dog trainer, stable hand, professional gardener, nanny, caregiver to the disabled. I've worked retail and been a waitress and bar-tender. I've seen a lot and it's taught me a lot. I also hold an almost degree in visual arts and have studied everything from ceramics and metalworking to painting. I love it all! I'm still on my journey to find my place in the world but I think my past experiences will serve me well in my newest adventure: motherhood. |
