Introduction	Matthew Powell is currently a Journalism student at Luzerne County Community College. He is also a 2009 graduate of Holy Redeemer High School. In May of 2009, Matt created a facebook group called Living with Cerebral Palsy and Fighting the Incurable. A group created for anyone who has Cerebral Palsy, knows someone with CP, or supports the fight for a cure. The group has also been established for comfort and to spread optimism. People are able to share their dreams, hopes, and struggles while dealing with the disability. The group currently has 732 members and is still growing. Over the past year the group has had much success, sharing stories with people from all over the globe. The group was also recognized by a column written in the Pittston Sunday Dispatch, which is a Northeast Pennsylvania newspaper that commended the group on their awareness efforts. The article was titled "Setting everything straight." The paper reaches over 10,000 residents in the Northeast PA area. The group has decided to expand their efforts by creating a blog called "The CP Optimist." A blog where Matt has a new column every week on how to remain optimistic while dealing with Cerebral Palsy.
