| Introduction | I have been studying impermanence, grief, loss, death, spirituality, art and creativity for over thirty years. My Masters of Divinity included a focus on spiritual formation through creative arts. My bachelors was in theatrical set design, lighting design and music. My service as an interfaith chaplain for homeless women has taught me a great deal about life. I have training with the Zen Hospice Project and Hospice of the Valley. I serve on the advisory board of a school and orphanage in Haiti and volunteer with Hospice of the Valley. I've been privileged to lead numerous expressive education and arts workshops for over 15 years for various non-profit institutions. I am a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association. As the founder of Alive and Mortal, a virtual workspace, I continue to fulfill my calling to add to the lexicon of eloquent grief. We gather online together to seed a new culture of people who thrive rather than hide from the impermanence of this existence. |
