IntroductionWe are a full service library and a true Green Ridge landmark. Located on the southwest corner of Wyoming Avenue and Green Ridge Street, our library was erected soon after a charter was granted for its establishment on June 27, 1889. The library began as an outgrowth of a group of people who had formed a book club. Within a few years it became necessary to obtain larger quarters. The club sponsored the construction of the Green Ridge Library at a cost of $75,000. On July 30, 2010, the library was renamed in honor of the late Nancy Kay Holmes.
