Introduction | Ke Xu is an ESL teacher at BMCC, City University of New York; TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) EFL-IS (English as a Foreign Language InterSection) Chair 2008-2009; 2010-2011; columnist, co-editor, member of Editorial Review Board for TESOL journal Essential Teacher. Author and co-author of 8 books and over 40 articles, editor of 3 book series in EFL testing, methodology, teacher education, CALL (Computer-assisted Language Teaching). He was 1986-1987 ITF (International Teaching Fellow) in Melbourne, Australia, and consultant to Ministry of Education of Victoria State. He is a researcher, textbook writer, curriculum developer, teacher trainer and test designer. He was a member of Educational Council of Jiangsu Province, member of Testing Board of Jiangsu Province; Director of English as a Foreign Language Program in Jiangsu Province, China 1988-1991. He was the first translator (English-Chinese) of TESOL's recently published book series "Integrating EFL Standards into Chinese Classroom Settings". He is also one of the two people drafting the technology part of China's EFL teacher standards. |
