Introduction	Hi, my name is Jariah Powell. I just moved to Texas in August to be with my mom and broher. My family wouldn't be considered politic fans, we prefer football. Although if we had to choose between republicans and democrats, we will most definitely choose democratics (go Obama). I am considered to be disaffected. I have participated in a mock election when I was in high school, and I voted for President Obama. Thank God I turned 18 just in time. I am taking this class because it is required. Government was never one of my favorite subjects, but I hope to change that this year and learn more about our government system and how it works. I hope I pass this class with an A and maybe one day I'll be the first female president. I got an 80 on the current event quiz but I did terrible on the civics quiz. Government isn't one of my strong suits so I didn't really remember the answer to most of them questions, but I tried.
