Introduction	I'm an American expat living in Santiago, Chile. My Chilean husband, R, and I have one daughter who we call Ely- pronounced to rhyme with "belly". (I wanted to use a y in her name, but that didn't work out. So, I took advantage of Spanish phonetics and chose to use it in her nickname!)
