Pisaster
| Introduction | Pisaster is the most ubiquitous sea star along the northeastern Pacific and an important keystone species in intertidal communities, keeping in check mussel populations. Like all sea stars, Pisaster feeds by everting its stomach onto its prey and then withdrawing it when digestion is complete. |
