Introduction	Hi there! If you are on this blog page, chances are you know who I am and what I''m currently up to. For those of you who don't, I will give you a quick rundown: my name is Katie and I grew up on the East End of Long Island in a little town named Montauk, NY. I went to college at Fairfield University in Connecticut where I had the opportunity to go abroad to Cape Town, South Africa for a semester. This really opened my eyes to the experience of teaching English in a foreign country and the benefits of service learning for all who are involved. I knew I wanted to participate in another similar experience so I applied for a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Grant to Thailand. I was accepted an will be living in Thailand for the next 12 months teaching students in the province of Chiang Rai, while hopefully learning a ton myself! I'll hopefully be able to update my blog every other week, but no promises!!!
