| Interests | I have always loved food and cooking. When I was a child, I cooked. When I was at school, I cooked. When I went to study Graphic Design in Brighton, I spent most of my time cooking. When I left College I trained to become a chef. Now 20 years later and many great restaurant kitchens later, I still cook. Back at home again and for my family. Now, I just cook the recipes I love the most but I am always on the lookout for new ones. I love lurking around in ethnic shops, like the ones on every urban high street. London has never been so multi-cultural and you can find the most fantastic array of shops, from every culture round the globe, without travelling very far from your home. Exploring these shops is like a little holiday. You are transported to another culture instantaneously – the smells, the tastes and often the atmosphere. I love to discover new ingredients and try new recipes from all over the world. My blog is a record of what I have been cooking and I would love to hear about ethnic shops in your area. |
