| Introduction | A brief history of my teacher-self: I attended Hamilton College where I received a BA in Philosophy; I continued on to receive my Montessori Teacher certification (3-6 year olds); and, I earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have taught in both private Montessori schools and a public Montessori program that I helped pioneer. In Vermont, I had two long-term substitute positions in kindergarten classrooms and served as a daily substitute in classrooms in grades k-5. I have been teaching kindergarten at Charlotte Central School since 2011. The educator in me is constantly learning and evolving alongside my students; I am always trying to exude a passion for knowledge and discovery that I hope to elicit from my students; I am thankful for the opportunities to work with, and learn from, my students and colleagues. |
